It's Time for Your Adjustment

We're ig-Knight-ed! L-R Edward Biagiotti, Darrell Fusaro with Funniest Thing! fans Cheri and Mike Knight, visiting Culver City, CA from Tennessee.
When we face a situation that causes us to become frustrated, overwhelmed, or worried, we can put our trust in God's law of adjustment. Surrendering the matter always allows for harmonious realignment. Funniest Thing! fan and neighbor Cathie Quinn stops by to read and discuss today's Daily Word®, "Integrity".  Click here to listen/download.
The 3 Breaths
"Even if I bust it, God will adjust it."

The most satisfying and comforting sense of peace and joy always follows the willingness on our part to allow God to control every situation for us through His law of adjustment. When we understand that infinite Mind is the Ruler of the universe, that every idea of God is forever in its proper place, that no condition or circumstance can arise whereby a mistake can find lodgment in God's plan, then we have the complete assurance that God is capable of adjusting everything as it should be. The fact is that all things are already in their rightful place; that no interference or lack of adjustment can really occur. It is only to the unenlightened human sense that there can be any such thing as discord. God's universe is always in perfect adjustment, and all His ideas work together forever in perfect harmony.

When we are willing to give up our frightened and uncertain sense of things and let the divine Mind govern, then and then only shall we behold that "all things work together for good to them that love God."

–Adam H. Dickey, God's Law of Adjustment

The Bible tells us that God can heal us, that He can deliver us from our derelictions, that He lifts up the weak, that He leads and guides us. Buy just how much can God do? Well, God can do almost anything. That may sound strange to those who have been taught that with God all things are possible. But there are some things that God cannot do, and it is fortunate for us that this is true.

God is a God of love and rules by principle, and because this is so, He cannot change His nature. He cannot break divine law. He cannot bring disease, or suffering, or lack.

He is always the loving Father, ready to hear and answer prayer.

How much can God do? He can bring heaven here and now--not by breaking the law, which is impossible to God--but by fulfilling it.

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law (Psalm 119:18)

–Around The Year With Emmet Fox, 25 October

When your knees are knocking together, and you do not know which way to turn--think of God and His goodness.
When prosperity seems out of the question--give thanks for God's abundance.
When you want peace of mind--dwell upon the Presence of God
When your health is under par--speak the healing Word
When you need inspiration--browse through the Bible
When the situation seems to need a miracle--remember that nothing is too difficult for God, and that He is performing miracles every day.

I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee (Joshua 1:5)

–Around The Year With Emmet Fox, 26 October

Try this experiment today. Select one particular thing in your life that is not going well and you wish to make right. Next consider the matter in the light of your knowledge of God and of prayers. Realize that this thing cannot remain inharmonious or negative once you know the Truth about it. Realize that you are now knowing the Truth and claim that the divine Power in you is now healing the condition completely and permanently.

Then give thanks. Remember that praise and thanksgiving are the most powerful prayers of all.
The next day, repeat your thanksgiving, until the answer comes.
In between prayers you must keep your thought right concerning the problem. This is vital. All-day-long guiding of your thought cannot fail to bring your demonstration.

My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord (Psalm 104:34)

–Around The Year With Emmet Fox, 27 October

When Jesus said:  “Resist not,” He meant that non-recognition of evil is the only way to avoid it.  This is true according to the law of cause and effect, for what we persist in recognizing, we persist in holding in place.  That which we refuse to recognize, we neutralize, and it is no longer there so far as we are concerned.
So we erase any idea of failure.  Now here is where it looks as if one were not telling the truth to himself, but he is declaring the truth about the Spirit that indwells him.  THIS SPIRIT NEVER FAILS.  Affirm this until it is a very part of your being.  –Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, Pg. 303

A changed experience can only happen to a changed individual...  The world responds to you by corresponding to your thought...  You have no need to implore the Deity.  You do need to know yourself as a great spiritual potential for happiness.  God’s work in you, as you, has been completely accomplished.  It awaits you recognition and practice of Its ideas.  –Raymond Charles Barker, The Power of Decision

“God does not hear your prayers, you do.”  –Eric Butterworth

Prayers are not magic words, they are reminders to your own brain that all is well.  Prosperity, health, abundance, and all manner of well being are our natural state of being.

Integrity
ACTING WITH INTEGRITY BRINGS ME PEACE.

At times I may hesitate to make decisions. I may struggle with choices about relationships and work-life balance. Or I may worry if I am spending my money wisely. Staying in touch with Truth gives me confidence. Before I choose what to do, I listen to my inner guidance. I align my thoughts with what is upright, honest, and sincere. As I speak and act with integrity, I experience balance in my mind, body, and soul. Every aspect of my life aligns in peaceful harmony.

Integrity is part of my true identity. I exhibit ease and grace when asked to make a decision. My health improves, my self-esteem increases, and I live courageously.

Show yourself in all respects a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, gravity, and sound speech that cannot be censured.–Titus 2:7, 8

"Dear Darrell and Ed,
Enclosed is a joke we thought you might like.
Keep up the great work.
We love you.
Sincerely, K
aren and Wayne Bressner, Coral Springs, Florida"

A minister was asked to dinner by one of his church members.  He knew she was a bad housekeeper but agreed anyway.  When he sat down to the table, he noticed that the dishes were the dirtiest that he had ever seen in his life.

“Were these dishes ever washed?”, he asked the hostess, running his fingers over the grit and grime.

“Yes”, she replied, “they’re as clean as soap and water could get them.”

He felt a bit uncomfortable but blessed the food anyway and started eating.  It was really delicious and he said so, despite the dirty dishes.  When dinner was over, the hostess took the dishes outside and yelled, “Here Soap! Here Water!”

Where health is concerned—when we focus on love, God takes care of the concern. Funniest Thing! regular Jenn Henry swoops in from Chicago to read and discuss today's Daily Word®, "Healing."  Click here to listen/download.
The 3 Breaths
"No matter what the affliction, Love's the prescription."

A TREATMENT IS AN OPERATION
The word treatment is usually applied to a prayer that is made for some specific purpose, as distinct from a general prayer, which is really a visit with God. You must remember that a treatment is a definite practical action, having a definite object and a definite beginning and end. It is in fact a surgical operation on the soul.

Let us suppose that you decide to heal a certain difficulty by prayer. You know that your difficulty must be caused by some negative thought charged with fear and located in the subconscious mind. You therefore turn to God, and remind yourself of His goodness, His limitless power, and His care for you. As you work the fear will begin to dissolve, and the awareness of the Truth corrects the erroneous beliefs themselves.

Thank God for the healing that you believe will come--and then you keep your thought off the matter until you feel led, after an interval, to treat again.

He send his word, and healed them... (Psalm 107:20)  –Around the Year With Emmet Fox, October 16

WHAT IS "SEEKING THE KINGDOM?"
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).

The principle that Jesus expressed in these words is the basic law that underlies all answer to prayer. Many people know that in theory but are confused about putting it into practice. They think. "I will ignore this problem and think about God instead." Here there is a subtle mistake; because they are really thinking of their problem as existing in one place, of God as existing in another, and of themselves as going in thought from the first place to the second place. This, of course, is by implication to reaffirm the existence of the problem in its own place, and such a belief will not heal.

What we have to do is to seek the Kingdom in the very place where the trouble seems to be. We have to know that in Truth and reality it is not there, because God is there. When we succeed in doing this, the difficulty disappears.   –Around the Year With Emmet Fox, October 17

MENTAL DRUDGERY IS NOT PRAYER
Expect more from your prayers. The power of your prayer depends upon the amount of faith that you yourself have in it. To pray in the spirit that "even if this prayer does not do any good at least it cannot do any harm," is not, really, to pray at all.

Have enough faith in the love of God to believe that a short heartfelt prayer is just as good as a long one. To long a session of prayer usually means that in your heart you really doubt the love of God, and think that a great deal of effort and toil will be necessary to move Him. Pray quietyl and sincerely for a reasonable time--and then leave the matter, expecting success.

O Lord, thou art my God: I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things: thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth (Isiah 25:1)   –Around the Year With Emmet Fox, October 18

If you want health, then claim everyday that God is your health, that Divine Life brings well-being to every part of your body.  If you want prosperity, claim everyday that God is your prosperity & the giver of every good gift.  If you want peace & harmony, claim everyday that God brings you peace & all things work for good to them that love God.  Whatever it is you wish to bring into your life, stake your claim to it.  –Emmet Fox, Stake Your Claim

In treating, we must TURN ENTIRELY AWAY FROM THE CONDITION.  Disease and limitation are neither person, place, or thing.  Turn entirely from the condition, or limited situation, to its opposite, to the realization of health, happiness, and harmony.  Spiritual treatment starts with Perfect God, Perfect Man, and Perfect Being, which statement consciously removes any belief which denies such manifestation.  –Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind

You need to know God as health and health as normal.  You have to decide that you are going to be well.  Once you make that decision and really mean it, the spiritual forces in your mind and body go to work.  Health is a yes system and disease is a no system.  Life responds to affirmative thinking.  It flows where the channels are open, and affirmative thinking opens the channels.  Life created you out of Itself that you might enjoy the experience of living in health and well-being.  –Raymond Charles Barker, The Power of Decision

Healing
I ATTUNE TO WHOLENESS AND EXPRESS PERFECT HEALTH.

All healing begins with aligning my heart and mind with God’s vision for me. I am perfectly healthy—vibrant in mind, body, and spirit. I invest in my health by spending time in communion with God. I say prayers of gratitude for my ease of movement and youthful vigor. I nurture my heart in meditation. I train my mind with positive words.

Guided by Spirit, I make healthy choices when it comes to eating and exercise. I care for myself with regular visits to medical professionals. I am mindful of my speech and refrain from any discouraging self-talk. I align every part of my being with Truth principles. As I do so, healing at all levels is not merely likely but inevitable. I am one with God—healed, whole, and healthy.

I will take sickness away from among you.—Exodus 23:25

Hi guys!

I'm taking a pause in my day to send you this story as a prayer of gratitude :) So many funniest thing moments happen all the time as a result of applying the practices the light and real way you share them but I am overdue on sharing with you and a THANKS!

I've attached a picture that I normally wouldn't share (bc yikes!) to illustrate how GRUMPY I was this morning getting my passport/visa photo taken. I woke up late and tired and was stressing to get this pic and head to the Chinese consulate in SF for my visa. I had so much fear around being late, it taking too long and the invested fears of 'what if I don't have the right things, what if they don't like me, what if there's some weird rule I don't know?!' (all the while knowing that thoughts like that don't help)

I popped on an archived show of yours on my commute because I knew I would create hell if I kept thinking that way. You brightened my day, helped me see things differently and be brave to stick with the positive thoughts. Boy did it help!

I got to the consulate (think chaotic DMV but everyone is speaking Chinese), took a number and sat on the floor to fill out my application, not really understanding the process. I was number 176 and they were on number 50, but I was still grateful to be there and my hopes were high. A man walked up and gave me his number 87! (AT LEAST an hour time saver!). I got in line (now that I qualified) and the guard came up to (only) me, asking what my number was. He moved me UP the line to the proper place for #87, saving me even more time!

I'd love your support in sending prayers to those two wonderful angels who supported me today. I am grateful that I realigned my thoughts to even attract support like that!

Thank you again for all that you do and share! Oh, and I just finished your 18 day meditation and it has helped SO much! I often think 'ooo, I sense chaos here that I think I can't control BUT I can. I choose peace here'
Lots of love!

HEY CUZ!

I TYPE IN CAPS CAUSE IT'S EASIER.  I'M A LAZY TYPIST AND MY HANDS AREN'T SO GREAT.  SO, I'M NOT YELLING AT YOU.

READ YOUR ARTICLE ON THE GOD BOX AND THOUGHT LORI AND YOU WOULD FIND THIS INTERESTING.  ABOUT 27 YEARS AGO I WAS TIRED OF DATING, HAD STOPPED IT ENTIRELY.  JUST COULDN'T STAND THE HASSLE ANYMORE.  SO ONE NIGHT IN BED, AFTER SAYING MY PRAYERS, I SPOKE TO THE MAN UPSTAIRS, ASKING HIM TO TAKE CARE OF THIS FOR ME.  I ASKED FOR JUST A DECENT, LOVING, CARING MAN TO COME MY WAY.  I ALSO TOLD HIM IF I WASN'T SUPPOSED TO GET ONE THAT WAS FINE TOO.  I CLOSED BY SAYING I WAS GIVING IT UP TO HIM AND WAS DONE THINKING ABOUT IT ANYMORE.   AND I REALLY DID FORGET ABOUT IT.  ABOUT A MONTH LATER HE BROUGHT NICK INTO MY LIFE!

I WAS TELLING THIS STORY TO A FRIEND WHO I KNEW WOULD TRY THIS AND SHE DID.   IT ONLY TOOK 3 WEEKS.  SHE'S VERY HAPPILY MARRIED!

JUST THOUGHT YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON, AND WORKING WELL, FOR MORE YEARS THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE.  THE TRICK IS TO  GENUINELY GIVE IT TO HIM AND NEVER THINK ABOUT IT AGAIN.  HE WILL DO WHAT'S BEST FOR US!

HOPE ALL IS WELL.  SEEMS LIKE YOU TWO ARE VERY HAPPY, WHICH MAKES ME VERY HAPPY!

LOVE,
CUZ CHRIS

Joke of the Day
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment.
Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM
for an early morning business flight.

Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, 'Please wake me at 5:00 AM.' He left it where he knew she would find it.

The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.

The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM.. Wake up.'

Keep the inspiration level in your mind high. It needs to be a constant flow through your consciousness. It is the kind of refreshment that the mind needs. It prevents you from doing what I call drab thinking. Drab thinking is unproductive thinking, and you cannot afford it at this particular time when the full action of your consciousness needs to be one of healthy expectation.   –Raymond Charles Barker, The Power of Decision

If all of you, or if any of you, could reach a point of acknowledging that your work is to find harmony with you, period, and that what anybody else thinks about it, has nothing to do with your experience - you would all have a much happier experience, and you would be of much more value to all.
As you stop trying to get others to agree with you about everything, and just be, and seek harmony with self, and then let them find their harmony with you as you look for your harmony with them - then you are in a very good place.  –Abraham

At any moment, we can choose which vision we will employ and which world we will live in.  Even if we have chosen dark or painful thoughts, we can shift our vision and immediately transform our experience.  The world we see reflects the thoughts with which we build it.  –Alan Cohen, A Deep Breath of Life, Oct 13th

This law of adjustment is the universal law of Love, which bestows its blessings on all alike. It does not take from one and give to another. It does not withhold itself under any circumstances, but is ready, and waiting to operate as soon as the invitation is given and human will is set aside.
When we reach the point where we can in confidence and in trust leave everything to the settlement of God's law of adjustment, it will immediately relieve us of all sense of personal responsibility, remove anxiety and fear, and bring peace, comfort, and the assurance of God's protecting care.

Pray for Others
IN JOY-FILLED PRAYER, I AFFIRM WHOLENESS AND ABUNDANCE FOR ALL.

I am grateful when friends ask me to pray with them. Joining them in prayer is a privilege and a joy. I approach each prayer request with respect and thoughtfulness. Centering my mind and heart in Spirit, I see the divine attributes inherent within the person and the situation. My focus on Good turns every prayer into an expression of gratitude.

Where there appears to be a need for healing, I affirm the wholeness already there. Where there appears to be lack, I affirm abundance. Where there appears to be confusion or stumbling, I give thanks for wisdom, guidance, and understanding.

I am grateful for every opportunity to be a joyful, prayerful presence in the world.

To this end we always pray for you, asking that our God will ... fulfill by his power every good resolve and work of faith.–2 Thessalonians 1:11

Dear Darrell and Ed:
Of course I want to start out by saying I love the show and it inspires me each week in so many ways. The reason I’m writing is to share about the added benefits I get from listening to the show.
I used to sit at my computer and listen each week but then it occurred to me, I can listen on my phone and carry Darrell and Ed around the house with me while I clean. I now clean my house while listening to the show. The benefits are numerous: My house gets cleaned, I actually enjoy cleaning it and, most important, my attitude is so much better. Instead of dreading the weekly sweeping, mopping, dusting, and changing of the sheets, I am inspired and have come up with a mantra while doing so. “With Darrell and Ed, I make my bed.”
Thanks for always inspiring me. It changes my thinking and I get to see the better side of things.
All my love, Cathie Quinn

From Rachel Gallant, Rochester, NH
Hello Darrell and Ed,

I am just about ready to embark on my one year goal of training for the Dublin Marathon in Ireland. It is a Spiritual quest for sure. It has been years that my Spirit has been whispering....Go to Ireland!!
One of my favorite ways to connect with God and my Angels daily is through my running. I have done it for years and I count it as one of my most valued blessings.
I would Love to bring one of your books "What if Godzilla wanted a Hug" with me, you could sign it.....to a Proud Dublin Marathon Finisher?? At the finish line I will choose a person to give your book to!!! That would add so much Magic to this entire experience.
I will put a check in the mail to you today if this works for you. If you can mail the book as soon as you can, I will be flying out next Friday the 23rd and running on Mo day the 26th!!!

PS. I would be willing to hand out more then one book if you would like to spread "Your Joy" High and Wide!!!

Blessings of Love to you both!!!
Rachel

And that same day a 'funniest thing!' occurred . . .

Rachel,
Thank you so much for sharing this with us, you're an inspiration.
You're request has turned out to be an incredible funniest thing. Wednesday after the show I had just found out via a Facebook post by a childhood friend that his mom had died. Her name was Mrs. Lancaster, Irish-American from NJ. Growing up I was pretty much on my own as you know from the stories I've shared in What If Godzilla Just Wanted a Hug?  During that time Mrs. Lancaster was always kind to me and she remained supportive of me, even attending my first solo art exhibition in NYC in 1996. During those later years she became an avid runner like yourself.  She loved to travel and run marathons most of the time joined by her daughter, Bernadette.  So I thought this amazing that you of all people requesting to randomly gift "a proud Dublin marathon finisher" with a copy of my book and suggest I do as well. I was on-board to do so when I read your email, then when I learned of Mrs. Lancaster's passing I was blown away, how appropriate.  This is truly divinely orchestrated.
So in loving memory of Mrs. Lancaster, a wonderful Irish-American, I've enclosed two copies in addition to your copy of What If Godzilla Just Wanted a Hug? for you to hand out to the proud Dublin Marathon finishers that you're inspired to give them to. Mrs. Lancaster was running into her 70's.
Much love,
Darrell (and Ed too)

Joke of the Day
On their recent visit to Unity Village, Darrell and Ed were struggling to open a combination lock on the snack cabinet. They had been told the combination, but couldn't quite remember it. Finally they went to Jeff Comfort’s dorm room and asked for help. Jeff Comfort turned off the mud wrestling match he was watching and came into the room and began to turn the dial.

After the first two numbers he paused and stared blankly for a moment. Finally he looked serenely heavenward and his lips moved silently. Then he looked back at the lock, and quickly turned to the final number, and opened the lock.

Darrell and Ed were amazed. "We’re in awe at your faith, pastor," they said.

"It's really nothing," Comfort answered. "The number is on a piece of tape on the ceiling."

During times of emotional upheaval, it is tempting to believe our fears are real. We unknowingly magnify them by lashing out against ourselves and others. Darrell and Ed have found the surest way out of difficulty is to affirm we are already blessed in ways beyond our current understanding.  Samuel Patrick Smith joins this episode to read and discuss today's Daily Word®, "Free."  Click here to download/listen.

The power of your imagination is tremendous.  You have watched yourself use it to magnify negatives.  Now use it to expand your consciousness of well-being...  For a moment, forget yourself as you believe yourself to be.  You are now seeing yourself as the Infinite knows you to be.  Such a picture, held in your mind for several moments, has great therapeutic power.  –Raymond Charles Barker, The Power of Decision, Pg 142

Change- or even a transition period- is always difficult for man because he feels a loss of security due to knowledge of the "old" or past and lack of knowledge of the "new" or future.  But when man starts "feeding his mind" with things of the Spirit (love, high ideals, patience, understanding) he suddenly emerges from his days of darkness during the change and becomes aware of the great light which is found in understanding and reuniting with the great, victorious Spirit.  –Jack H. Holland, Man's Victorious Spirit, Pg 87

Let’s get this clear.  You are in your true nature, a divine being and you are one with God –now.  You cannot know anything or experience anything except your own states of mind; and these you can change by intelligent & persistent effort.  Any deed or any happening is but the shadow cast by a thought.  The secret of happiness & harmony is peace of mind – and there is no other.  You find peace & harmony by getting right with God.  The peace of God flows through me now!  –Emmet Fox, Make Your Life Worthwhile

The effect of a smile on other people is remarkable.  It disarms suspicion, melts away fear and anger, and brings forth the best in the other person--which best he immediately proceeds to give to you.  –Emmet Fox

The problem could not exist if you did not exist to create it and experience it. Shift your attention from your concern with the problem, and give this same amount of thinking and feeling to your awareness of yourself as Intelligence in action. Then a right idea will happen in your thinking, and you will triumph over the enemies of your own preconceived wrong ideas. You are a new cause bringing forth a new effect. The new effect is one you like and one which benefits you, for it was born in Intelligence and was nurtured by your own intelligent planning.  ~Raymond Charles Barker, from The Power of Decision
Love overcomes both hate and fear.  However, love does not overcome hate and fear through controversy, argument, or force, but by a subtle power of transformation, transmutation, and sublimation.  It is invisible in its essence but apparent through its act.  As light overcomes the darkness, as the presence of heat causes the coolness of a room to change until it is warm and comfortable, so the radiant action of love and peace dissipates fear, hate, and confusion.

Love is the victor in every case.  Love breaks down the iron bars of thought, shatters the walls of material belief, severs the chain of bondage which thought has imposed, and sets the captive free.  –Ernest Holmes, Effective Prayer, Pg. 51.3

Free
I am free to re-create myself

In the same way laws and textbooks change with the times, I update my understanding of spiritual freedom. I am free to make different choices and re-create myself.

With prayer and meditation as my primary tools, I release worn-out ways of being and acting in the world. I choose to see people and situations differently. I free myself from faulty thinking and embrace productive thoughts. I affirm the fresh choices that are possible and my responsibility toward others in those choices.

I have the power to change because I am an expression of God. In deepest gratitude, I give thanks for the opportunities available to me in every moment.

For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for self-indulgence.—Galatians 5:13

Hey you guys! It is raining BAD in SC and a lot of crazy pictures are being posted like people out walking their fish... well this one really got my attention, as I remembered your show "The Boat Goes Up And The Boat Goes Down, Just Stay In The Boat"

Picture
The following photograph is evidence of Ed's 'funniest thing!' moment as shared during this week's episode.  For several days he had been crossing paths with the same guy at the beach.  Ed's head thought the guy was an intimidating looking "Australian surfer".  After a blessing Ed discovered him to be a pleasant encouraging happy American surfer.  One day just as Ed was leaving the beach, Funniest Thing! with Darrell and Ed fan, local friend, and regular guest, Noel Bax  pulled into the lot.  Believe it or not, Noel was there to meet with this fellow.  Ironically, Noel introduced Ed to 'Patrick" as the guy who got Noel listening to Funniest Thing! with Darrell and Ed.  When we first met Noel he had informed us that it was a friend who told him of our show, so, Patrick turned out to be the missing link!  We love 'connecting the dots' because it reinforces the truth that the Universe is always conspiring on our behalf.

Joke of the Day
Seeing Adam looking sad, God asked, "What's wrong?"

"There's no one to talk to." said Adam.

God replied, "Well, I've got good news. I'm going to give you a companion and name it a woman. This woman will gather food for you, cook for you and wash your clothes. She will always agree with you and bear your children never asking you to get up in the middle of the night to take care of them. She will never nag you and always be the first to admit she is wrong when you disagree. She will never have a headache and will freely give you love and passion whenever you need it."

Adam was impressed and asked, "What would a woman like this cost?"

God replied, "An arm and a leg."

"That sounds like a lot" said Adam, "What can I get for a rib?" ...the rest is History

Anytime we feel stressed or worried, it is because we have forgotten that we are fully supported by a loving God. Being willing to admit that our thoughts are off course is the first step toward bringing back that loving feeling. The 3 Breaths
"The Judge has left the bench, because the case has been dismissed!"

Funniest Thing! fan Krista Machovina of Echo Park, CA inspired "The 3 Breaths" for today as a result of an unexpected Divine appointment with Ed in downtown Culver City, CA.  Here she shares her 'funniest thing' moment:

"OK, it really is funniest thing!  I am only in Culver City about 3-4 times a year- I live in Echo Park.  My boss and friend Leslie had to speak at the Exchange Club meeting that was held at the Elks Club there in Culver City about the charity for which we work, The Art of Elysium (Actually, staff had to be furloughed in June due to funding that fell through so I don't even technically work for them right now, whole other funniest thing story) Anyway, I went along for moral support, and it was a good time.  Afterwards, as we were driving out of town, Leslie saw the Cold Stone and insisted we stop for ice cream but we had trouble finding parking.  We found a spot on a side street, grabbed the ice cream and were sitting there in her car.  I saw you, thought, hey, that looks like Ed, looked to my left saw the Culver City School District, and having heard you talk about your work, thought I wonder if...  So I had to check!  Anyway, meeting you and being able to tell you guys in person how much your podcast inspires me made my day, and reminded me that everything is in perfect order!   I really didn't have to be there at all today, and the fact that Leslie had to stop for ice cream was completely out of the blue.  I often incorporate your practice of taking a moment to do a gratitude list, or just to get your head in the right space and am  just flat out delighted to stumble into being a part of that today    Yay!  A big old funniest thing!"

I live in the faith that there is a Presence and Power greater than I am that nurtures and supports me in ways I could not even imagine. I know that this Presence is All knowing and All Power and is Always right where I am.  –Ernest Holmes

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”  ―Albert Einstein

Happiness is a state of mind - it comes from a feeling of freedom, a feeling of love for those around us, a love for our environment, from a propensity to see good in all.  Happiness is purely and internal (inside) matter - it comes to us from realizing the good in all - in other people, in all of God’s creation, in ourselves.  It is a state of mind!  –Jack H. Holland, Man’s Victorious Spirit, Pg. 103

It all starts with a depth decision to be happy.  State aloud to yourself, I have decided to be happy.  Do this is in a firm voice for at least a week.  Follow this by saying:
I have a right to be happy.  If other people can be happy then I can be happy.  I have the same mind and emotions that they do.  I now demand that my subconscious use all of its intelligence to make me happy.
State to yourself that you believe happiness to be a spiritual gift, and that this gift is already within you.  It is there by right of your being alive.  The more you affirm the spiritual side of happiness and your spiritual right in having it, the sooner you will have results.  –Raymond Charles Barker, The Power of Decision, Pg. 100

To Think Is to Create
The Mind within us is the Mind of God.  To affirm the presence of good in our life is to use the Power within us for the creation of that good we affirm...  We must accept our freedom, to announce our liberty, and proclaim our Divine birthright.  Whatever we believe to be true about God, we must declare to be true about ourself...  Knowing that thinking is creative opens the doorway to wisdom and power.  That doorway is already within me.  The Mind of God reveals this truth, that I was born free and that the will of God for me is one of goodness, truth, and beauty.  I rejoice that at last I am awakening to this realization of Truth.  I have the power to use the Mind within me in any good way I see fit.  I use my authority to create beauty, peace, and joy.  –From 365 Science of Mind, Ernest Holmes, September 30th

Keep in mind that this love is not something that comes from you, something that is generated in you and by you. It is an energy force flowing through you from that Cosmic Center within you, and touching and igniting that same energy force within the object or person. Now we can see how the kind of thoughts that reveal an absence of love--fear, hatred, hostility, resentment, anger--frustrate this inner realize station and flow of transcendental love, and causes to relate to the object or person on a purely surface level that is exterior to this in your point of oneness of love.

This is why it is truly said that, perfect love casts out fear, and, love overcomes the world.

The need is to turn from the conflict and, let the soul banish all that disturbs…  And then, think of spirit is shining in from all sides, well you just relax and be still. But the emanations of the Cosmic point of Divine love flow in and through you, lifting you to the feeling of being loved, enabling you to think a loving thoughts of the other person, and this relate to that depth of love which is surely within him--no matter how they have been frustrating it.  –Eric Butterworth, Life Is For Loving

Inner Peace
I AM AT PEACE IN THE PRESENT MOMENT.

At times I may feel uncertain or anxious about the direction of my life. Am I doing the right thing? Am I accurately interpreting Spirit’s guidance? When that happens, I do what brings me peace: I rest in the Silence and feel the wholeness of this moment. How relieved and at peace I am right now! I’ve “touched the peace that surpasses all understanding” of which Paul spoke.
I am in touch with the Truth during my moments in the Silence. Right where I am is where I am meant to be. My path is valid and my mission noble.
I clearly know the changes I need to make and the right timing for each of them. I have faith in Spirit’s ever-present, indwelling guidance. I am at peace in the present moment.

Go in peace. The mission you are on is under the eye of the Lord.–Judges 18:6

Joke of the Day
Jeff Comfort was preparing pancakes for his friends Darrell, and his younger buddy Ed. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake (because they're boys), and Jeff Comfort saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. He taught them, "If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, 'Let my buddy have the first pancake. I can wait.'"

Darrell's eyes got really big, then he turned to his younger friend and said, "Ed, you be Jesus!"
