"Give it away. Give it away, now!" L-R, Darrell Fusaro and Edward Biagiotti
There's nothing that can hinder the flow of success and prosperity into our lives when we step out generously. In fact, we receive an unlimited expense account whenever we choose to act as ambassadors of God's love. Fellow ambassador Sammy Smith shares the wealth by dropping in to read and discuss today's Daily Word®, "Prosperity."  Click here to listen/download.

"We're living it up, when we're giving it up!"
Increasing Your Dividends
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath (Matthew 25:29).

Your experience is the expression (pressing out) of your state of mind or consciousness, at any time. When your consciousness is high, everything goes well. When your consciousness is low or limited, everything goes wrong.

When trouble comes the usual thing is to meet it with fear, anger, disappointment, self-pity, or brutal will power. This naturally lowers the consciousness a good deal more, and things get still worse. From him that hath not (much) harmony, shall be taken away even that which he hath.
Harmony and joy naturally raise your consciousness and your faith in God still higher, and so things improve further. Unto everyone that hath shall be given and he shall have abundance. This is a simple statement of natural law.  –Emmet Fox, Around the Year, Nov. 23rd

It comes as a surprise to many of us that we do not know how to handle good fortune.  When unusual opportunities or prosperity comes our way, we find ourselves reacting inappropriately.  Instead of being excited and happy, we feel upset.

Fear is often the culprit when we have such unexpected feelings.  We’re afraid we won’t be able to “live up to” our good fortune.  We’re afraid it will vanish as quickly as it came, and we’re apprehensive about the changes that might be in store for us.  Our most troubling and irrational fear, however, is that somehow a huge mistake has been made.  We feel, deep down, that we don’t deserve our windfall.
For some of us, clearly, good fortune can be as difficult to accept as adversity.  But that doesn’t mean we can’t turn things around if we give ourselves a chance.

First, we can try to put our inappropriate feelings on hold.  That way we can better see them for what they are- self-centered fear, rooted in old ideas.  Instead of reacting quickly and self-destructively, we can take time to learn to accept our good fortune.  Then, rather than focusing on our imagined unworthiness, we can try to become grateful for our bonanza and see it for the gift it is.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:  You deserve whatever good comes your way today.
–From A New Day, November 19

Outer steps will come easily. Of course, I do not mean to imply through all these people's experiences that you simply entertain and radiate the mental equivalent of the good desired, and then do nothing more. Often you will have to take definite external steps as well. But you will discover that, by working out the mental concept of the desired good first, the outer steps will then unfold easily-almost automatically at times-without strained effort on your part. The more you turn your mind in rich directions, the less you seem to have to exert undo human effort to produce results. Work you will, but it will be work as satisfying self-expression rather then work just to survive. Your rich mind power and radiations seem to have a way of going forth and producing right opportunities, events and circumstances for prosperity and success, so that you almost seem to walk into them without conscious effort.  –From The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder

They that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. - Psalm 34:10

Today I expect every good thing to come to me.  Everything that is worthy of the soul, I anticipate.  Everything that belongs to the Spirit, I accept.  Everything that partakes of the nature of the Divine Reality, I claim as my own.  Today, I identify myself with abundance and success.  I know that my destiny is Divine, that my destination is certain, that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.  I know that this kingdom contains everything that is necessary to my well-being.  In gratitude and with joy, I receive this Kingdom into myself.  –Ernest Holmes, 365 Science of Mind, Nov. 20

Prosperity
GOD IS MY ALL. I AM GRATEFUL AND ABUNDANTLY BLESSED.

My prosperity does not depend upon a person or thing. My feeling of fulfillment comes from my awareness of Spirit and recognizing the many blessings I receive.

My appreciation for these blessings grows when I take time to give thanks for all that I have and will receive. Prosperity comes to me in many forms—family, friends, joy, health, and so much more. While the contents of a wallet or purse may be a reflection of finances, my true prosperity comes from Spirit.

If I should have a financial concern, I turn within and give thanks in advance that Spirit is opening the way to new and creative avenues for my finances to flow. Today and every day I affirm: I am abundantly blessed.

I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.—Jeremiah 33:6

Joke of the Day
On their last trip to Unity Village, Darrell and Ed bumped into Jeff Comfort in cafeteria. Comfort looked sad and almost on the verge of tears.
Ed asked, "Comfort! What’s going on?  How come you’re looking like such a sad sack?"
Jeff Comfort said, "Let me tell you. Three weeks ago, an uncle died and left me 50-thousand dollars."
"That's not bad at all...!", Ed shouted
"Hold on, I'm just getting started. Two weeks ago, a cousin I never knew kicked-the-bucket and left me 95-thousand, tax-free to boot."
Darrell was in shock, "Well, that's great! I'd love that."
Comfort continued, "Last week, my grandfather passed away. I inherited almost a million."
Finally Darrell and Ed asked, "So why are so glum?"
Jeff Comfort shrugged and said, "All I got in the mail this week was a bag of dicks from you guys!"
As Mentioned During Today's Episode:
An Italian treat from Darrell and Ed just for you!

If you're an American you may have assumed, like we have, that the Panettone Italian Christmas cake Is just the Italian counterpart to the holiday fruitcake.  The co-hosts of Funniest Thing! with Darrell and Ed, Darrell Fusaro and Edward Biagiotti, thought the Panettone was a holiday item to be avoided, but an encounter with the Italian Italians at i-Italy.org changed all that. Now Darrell and Ed are the cake's number one fans.  Here Darrell and Ed demonstrate how to REALLY enjoy a Panettone cake (just like an Italian).  Try it, you'll love it.

WARNING: Eating a Panettone cake as Darrell and Ed suggest may cause ignite a tremendous urge to devour the entire cake in one sitting.  It's that good!  For the rest of this story click here to check out Darrell's article/recipe of the same title with over 1,700 shares on Facebook!

The 3 Breaths
"I ain't no joker, I step out like Lee Iacocca."

You are not an observer of the universe.  You are a vital participant of the universe.  Let no one ever again tell you of your unimportance.  God did not make a mistake when you were born.  Intelligence created you to live in these times because you are equipped to meet the challenges of these times.  You are the right person, in the right place, to create a right world for yourself.  All of the resources of the infinite are already yours.  They need you as a means of self-expression.  –Raymond Charles Barker, The Power of Decision

If you really believe that you are "entitled" to the fullness of the kingdom, the resulting "outforming" may appear to be miraculous, for wonderful things can and will be done, but it is a natural fulfillment of divine law.  –Eric Butterworth, Spiritual Economics

We cannot afford to believe in imperfection for a single second, for to do so is to doubt God; it is to believe in a Power apart from God, to believe in another Creator.  Let us daily say to ourselves: "Perfect God within me, Perfect Life within me, which is God, come forth into expression through me as that which I am; lead me ever into the paths of perfection and cause me to see only the Good."  By this practice, the soul will become illumined and will acquaint itself with God and be at peace.  "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect."  –Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind

Freedom from limitation: "As man realizes his oneness with creative mind, he is released from the bondage of false thinking."  –Ernest Holmes, The Science of Mind

The more we become willing to depend upon a Higher Power, the more independent we actually are. Therefore dependence, upon God,is really a means of gaining true independence of the spirit.

Let's examine for a moment this idea of dependence at the level of everyday living. In this area it is startling to dis- cover how dependent we really are, and how unconscious of that dependence. Every modern house has electric wiring carrying power and light to its interior. We are delighted with this dependence; our main hope is that nothing will ever cut off the supply of current. By so accepting our dependence upon this marvel of science, we find ourselves more independent personally. Not only are we more independent, we are even more comfortable and secure. Power flows just where it is needed. Silently and surely, electricity, that strange energy so few people understand, meets our simplest daily needs, and our most desperate ones, too.  –From Twelve Steps And Twelve Traditions

Independence
I AM AN INDEPENDENT SPIRIT WITH UNLIMITED POWER.
I may have been born into challenging circumstances or run into difficulty along the way. Spirit gives me the inner resources to rise above whatever I face. I am free to think positively, act courageously, and soar like an eagle.

I value the ability to make decisions about matters that affect me. I use my spiritual powers to think and act in ways that benefit all. I have the power to do and be whatever I choose. I create the life of my dreams.

Attuned to Spirit, I am fearless and self-assured. I am confident and strong. I am an independent spirit and I am free.

The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.–Isaiah 58:11

Joke of the Day
Darrell and Ed were staying in the dorms at Unity Village.  Jeff Comfort was nice enough to give them the room right next to his own.  When it came time for bed, Darrell was kneeling beside his bed, softly saying his prayers, "Dear God, please bless Mummy and Daddy and all the family and please give me a good night's sleep."   Suddenly he looked up and shouted, "And don't forget to make our show sound the best on Unity Online Radio!!"

"There is no need to shout like that," said Ed. "God isn't deaf."

"No," said Darrell, "but Comfort is all the way in the other room."

"When I start to feel nervous, I just deliver good service."

Real love is selfless and free from fear.  It pours itself out upon the object of its affection, without demanding any return.  Its joy is in the joy of giving.  Love is God in manifestation, and the strongest magnetic force in the universe.  Pure, unselfish love draws to itself its own;  it does not need to seek or demand.  –Florence Scovel Shinn, The Game of Life & How to Play it

True salesmanship consists in helping the prospect to obtain the merchandise that he really needs. This point must be stressed. It means helping the prospect. It means service. It does not mean taking advantage of him in anyway. It certainly does not mean force in the positive things that he does not need and cannot afford. Nor does it mean pretending to give him one article when in fact he is getting another and inferior one. Such a policy is not salesmanship at all. It is, and plain English, robbery.

True salesmanship means finding out what your customer really needs, and supplying him with it; or if you cannot furnish it yourself, advising  him to go elsewhere. Such a policy will not, as many would suppose, me and loss of business. On the contrary, this method-merely the application of the golden rule-will build up your business more rapidly than anything else could. People sense honesty and sincerity intuitively, and these things beget confidence. Working in this way you may lose one order through your honesty, but you will get half a dozen in its place-and you will have peace of mind. Every intelligent salesman should know that any particular sale, or even any particular customer, does not matter, that it is the annual turnover that counts.

Certain courses of salesmanship used to say, get his name on the dotted line before you let them go. You should do the exact contrary to this. If there is any doubt in your own mind, or in his, tell him to think it over and come back later. If he does sign on the dotted line, and afterward you have any reason to suppose that is not entirely satisfied, you should offer to release him immediately, and tear up the contract.

This policy, the golden rule, was taught by Jesus, the wisest and most practical teacher who ever lived; and it is the secret of success in business. It is the real key to sales promotion.

Salesman! Treat your customers exactly as you would like him to treat you the positions were reversed. Tell them exactly what you would like to be told about the merchandise, if you were the purchase their; and if you will do this the whole universe will cooperate to make your business career and outstanding success.  –Make Your Life Worthwhile by Emmet Fox

God is the divine givingness of the Universe. You cannot make any sense out of life or realize the free flow of substance in your experience until you begin to see yourself as a giver.  It may mean a complete turnaround in your approach to life, where you think "give" instead of "get". In your spiritual quest, you are seeking to establish yourself in a unitive relationship with the divine flow. You can never really achieve this level of consciousness until giving becomes the main thrust of your life.  –Eric Butterworth, Spiritual Economics

Miscellaneous things said by Darrell and Ed
Love is the only element in the universe that multiplies when it's divided. It is the only possession that you receive more of when you give it away.

Love is NOT duty.  Love is NOT obligation.  Love exists when it is given generously as a desire to add value to the lives of others. This releases energy and the power.

A healthy rephrasing of the Golden Rule I've been using on myself is to, "Do unto others as you would want to be done unto."

People argue about whether or not there should be God in school.  The important thing is to have Love in school.  Love is God.

Good Mantra:  “I didn't do anything wrong.  I don't have to prove anything to anybody.  I don't have earn anybody else's approval.”

Service is not a way of earning God's love.  It is a way of sharing God's love, which you already have.  Service is not about getting, it is about giving.

Honor
I HONOR AND THANK THOSE WHO SERVE.

I have been helped in countless ways by people who have dedicated themselves to service. Today I pause to honor them by giving thanks and remembering them in my prayers. My heart is filled with gratitude for those who answered the call to serve, protect, and care.

I affirm peace and protection for those actively serving. I envision them and their loved ones encompassed by the love and comfort of Spirit. Because of their courage and commitment, my life is enriched and protected in myriad ways.

I honor all those who serve today by saying, “Thank you for your service, dedication, and sacrifice.”

Pay to all what is due them—taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.–Romans 13:7

Joke of the Day
Speaking of being of service, did you hear about the man at Unity Village who wanted to be the bell ringer?
He had no arms.  When he told Jeff Comfort of his wish, Comfort said: "How can you be our bell-ringer without arms?"

The man replied "Arms? Who needs 'em!"

So before Comfort could get the guy's name, the arm-less guy ran to the top of the bell tower, and started ringing the bell with his face, making beautiful music.  Unfortunately, he missed the last note, and fell from the bell tower.

A bunch of Unity Village locals gathered around him, asking: "Who is this guy?"

Comfort said: "I don't know, but his face rings a bell."

"When I drop my turds, I'm free as a bird."

Your power to demonstrate is your awareness of this presence within you and uniting with it by calling upon it for your every desire and then giving thanks for having already received it. The great cosmic secret is-you have your good now. This promise is-God the all good is everywhere evenly present and instantly available.  Your recognition of this truth and of your oneness with God gives you at once a feeling of oneness with the thing you desire, and this agreement that it is already yours is the powerful back of all demonstration.

Be childlike in mind. Be one pointed in consciousness, or direct. Do not hurry, strain or worry… Remember there is no distance between God and man. Relax, let go and affirm, "It is easy, for the Father indwelling he doeth the work."  Learn the new password, "To let," not "make," things happen.

(Don't pussyfoot around) Stop running around to other people. Stop telling other people what you want. Tell God about it. "Ask and you shall receive. I will give the the desires of the heart."
–From You by Frances Wilshire

Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world. –Arthur Schopenhauer, from A New Day

Fear grows out of the things we think; it lives in our minds. Compassion grows out of the thing we are, and lives in our hearts. –Barbara Garrison

When we learn to trust the Universe, we shall be happy, prosperous and well.  We must learn to come under that Divine Government, and accept the face that Nature’s table is ever filled.  Never was there a Cosmic famine.  “The finite alone has wrought and suffered, the Infinite lies stretched in smiling repose.”  God is always God.  No matter what our emotional storm, or what our objective situation, may be, there is always a something hidden in the inner being that has never been violated.  We may stumble, but always there is that Eternal Voice, forever whispering within our ear, that thing which causes the eternal quest, that thing which forever sings and sings.  –Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind

MY TRUST IN GOD GIVES ME TRUE FREEDOM.

At times I may feel constrained by my doubts and fears. Yet I can move away from mistaken beliefs in lack and limitation. I can do so by turning my attention from false negative beliefs and instead turn toward the light and understanding of God. Doing so aligns my thoughts with spiritual awareness. God’s presence helps me to step out of that state of doubt.

This connection with the Divine moves me forward in faith. My mind is focused, my heart is at peace, and my spirit now soars. I am free of seeming limitations. I am free of fear. Confidence is mine as I embrace the spiritual freedom that God provides.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And all of us ... seeing the glory of the Lord ... are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.—2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Joke of the Day
Jeff Comfort stopped at a local restaurant following a day roaming around in Spain... While sipping his wine, he noticed a sizzling, scrumptious looking platter being served at the next table. Not only did it look good, the smell was wonderful.  He asked the waiter, 'What is that you just  served?'

The waiter replied, 'Si senor Comfort, you have  excellent taste!  Those are called Cojones de Toro, bull's testicles from the bull fight this morning. A delicacy!'

Jeff Comfort said, 'What the heck, bring me an order.'

The waiter replied, 'I am so sorry senor Comfort.  There is only one serving per day because there is only one bull fight each morning.  If you come early and place your order, we will be sure  to save you this delicacy.'

The next morning, Jeff Comfort returned, placed his order, and that evening was served the one and only special delicacy of the day.  After a few bites, inspecting his platter, he called to the waiter and said, 'These are delicious, but they are much, much smaller than the ones I saw you serve yesterday.'

The waiter shrugged his shoulders and replied, 'Si, Senor Comfort.   Sometimes the bull wins."
